ALEJANDRO REYES, MBA & E-RYT200
Alex has always been drawn to sports and various athletic disciplines and growing up in Mexico he played everything that he could until 2009 when he moved to San Antonio, Texas and he discovered Yoga and Handstands. Initially he took Vinyasa and Anusara classes, but it was when he took his first Ashtanga Vinyasa Yoga class that he found his style. Growing up, he also developed his passion for business that led him to pursue his Bachelors in Business with a concentration on Finance and later his Masters in Business Administration with a focus on Real Estate Finance. Following these educational accomplishments, Alex graduated from teacher training led by Ana Hollis and Lisa Long and became a Yoga Alliance Registered yoga teacher in 2013. Alex studied handstands and acrobatics for over 10 years with World Champions Vladamir Vladev and Ivan Ivanovhas and has had the privilege to practice and study yoga with master teachers Tim Miller, David Swenson, David Williams, Tim Feldman, Kino MacGregor, Eddie Stern, and Sharath Jois. Alex's expertise centers around handstands, inversions, hand balancing and floating. He teaches handstand, Mysore and Primary Led classes weekly, assists Wild Thing School of Yoga teacher trainings with Intro to Ashtanga, Business of Yoga and Mastering Inversions; and regularly leads a variety of advanced skill level workshops. Alex approaches each student with compassion and an intuitive understanding of how to apply the practice to best align with a student's needs.
