Hi! I'm Lana, a passionate creative, teacher, educator, and photographer based in San Antonio, Texas. In my light-filled private studio, I host one-on-one lessons, yoga intensives, and provide mentorship guidance. I hold an E-RYT500 and YACEP. I began my personal practice in 2008 and have over 14 years of teaching experience. I am dedicated to working with students and teachers who are open to approaching the practice with genuine curiosity. My sequences are created with adventure and anatomy in mind; to lead you on an exploration into shape, breath, strength, mobility, flexibility and to gently go beyond the 'usual'. My instruction aims to lay a strong foundation for your practice that invites growth and helps you have a true understanding of how your body moves best. My hope is that this approach cultivates self-compassion and enthusiasm for movement while deepening your connection to Self both on-and-off the mat.

About Lana
Born in South Carolina into a big family, my life took a nomadic turn early on with multiple family moves. I spent my formative years in the greater Chicago area and it’s there that I started snapping pics and never stopped. I feel comfortable behind the lens and love the experience of chasing that indefinable ‘spark’ a great picture captures. Furthermore when curiosity led me to try out a community center yoga class, I discovered something else I could fall in love with, just like that! The simple pleasure of movement was born and I knew it was magical. While my understanding of the intricacies of practice have deepened through education, teaching, injuries and a committed personal practice I’m happy to report that, although my physical practice looks different than it used to, my delight remains and I still seek and feel the magic!
Ever feel confused when you hear different cues from different teachers and don’t know which one is correct? Sign up for my email newsletter and receive a free ebook! Created to help you rediscover and restore nourishing movement by examining commonly used yoga cues through the lens of anatomy.
